Frank Ocean is the stage name of Christopher Francis Ocean, an American singer, songwriter, and rapper. Frank Ocean was all over social media trends after he posted a nude picture of himself on Instagram.

In order to sell a new range of accessories from his upscale company Homer, Frank Ocean made a comeback on Instagram. Pendants, earrings, a keychain, and, perhaps most visibly, cock rings, which cost thousands of dollars, are all part of the drop.

With Frank’s nude pic now churning out memes, we picked the five best Frank Ocean songs. Check out the list:

1.     “Novacane” (from Nostalgia, Ultra, 2011)

The lead track on Frank Ocean’s debut mixtape nostalgia, ULTRA., “Novacane,” explains what it’s like to engage in sexual activity while under the influence of drugs. It also recounts Ocean’s relationship with a dentistry student who performed pornography to help pay for her education.

Novocain, a numbing agent frequently used by dentists during uncomfortable operations like cavity fillings and root canals, is referenced in the song’s title.

2. “Thinkin Bout You” (from Channel Orange, 2013)

“Thinkin Bout You” is the album’s first single on channel ORANGE. Originally written for Bridget Kelly, Frank decided to release a higher-quality version when his reference track became public knowledge. When thinking back on a previous relationship, Frank attempts to project a tough exterior but finally admits that he still has significant feelings for his ex and questions whether they share his sentiments or have been able to move on.

The song was played on Saturday Night Live and was a 2012 Grammy Award nominee for record of the year.

3. “Slide” (from Calvin Harris’ Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1, 2017)

“Slide” tells the tale of those who just wish to live like wealthy people so they may appear more prosperous. Calvin Harris, a Scottish DJ and producer, released his first original song of 2017 on February 24. It is the first time Harris and either of the two features has worked together and features Quavo and Offset of the Atlanta trap group Migos as well as singer-songwriter Frank Ocean.

4. “Pyramids” (from Channel Orange, 2013)

This is a nearly 10-minute-long tale by Frank Ocean about the ancient history of Black women, detailing how she gradually fell from being a queen in her own land to her current demeaning position in the Western Hemisphere. Men who would have sacrificed their lives to preserve her honour centuries ago are now using and abusing her instead of honouring her.

The historical Cleopatra, who dishonoured her nation by seducing Mark Antony, is mentioned in the song. They met because Mark Antony was a conqueror who wanted Egypt to become a part of the Roman Empire. This song tells the story of the Black man and woman in America and their gradual fall from grace in exact historical terms. Dogs to Gods—in a metaphorical sense.

5. “Pink + White” (from Blonde, 2016)

“Pink + White,” a song by Pharrell Williams with uncredited background vocals by Beyoncé, describes Frank’s recollections of his youth and a close friend who passed away. He recalls this person by thinking back on the teachings they imparted to him. The title of the song alludes to a sunset drive with Frank and his old friend, as it is sung in the song’s opening words. The sky during the time he is thinking back is “pink and white.” Frank has previously used such colours in his music; he has songs on Channel Orange and Odd Future named “Pink Matter” and “White” respectively.
