‘The Social Network’ fame actor Armie Hammer has been dropped by his agency WME. This comes after a string of controversial and disturbing messages that he allegedly sent to several women were leaked on social media. These messages, that remained unverified, contained graphic and disturbing descriptions of sexual fantasies that include abuse and cannibalism.

After the social media explosion, Hammer exited several projects including Lionsgate’s film ‘Shotgun Wedding’ in which he was set to star opposite Jennifer Lopez.

“I’m not responding to these claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic. Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I’m grateful to them for that,” he had said in a statement to Deadline.

He also exited from the Paramount+ limited series ‘The Offer’ and ‘Gaslit’.

The latest news is that the actor has been dropped by major Hollywood talent agency William Morris Endeavor.
