Thursday marks the 57th birth anniversary of the first female superstar of Indian Cinema– Sridevi. On the occasion, her daughter and actor Jahnvi Kapoor shared a monochrome photo of herself with her mother to remember her.

“I love you mumma,” she captioned the photo where both of them are seen smiling for the camera.

Sridevi died on February 24, 2018, months before Jahnvi’s debut movie ‘Dhadak’ released. At the International Film Festival of India that year, news agency PTI quoted Jahnvi as saying, “This year brought me both the worst and the best experience of my life. It’s a little strange… Our family is now united, so that is a very big thing for me. But whatever happened that too was very heavy (tragedy). We are still in shock, so we haven’t been able to process it properly.”

Jahnvi saw the release of her film ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl‘ on August 12. The film, where she plays the titular character, was received well by critics and the audience. It embarks the journey of Gunjan Saxena, the first female pilot of the Indian Air Force to participate in a war.

Sridevi was last seen in 2017 movie ‘Mom’, where she was hailed for her acting. Before this, she had made a comeback on big screens with ‘English Vinglish’, which went on to be a favourite among the audience.
