Actor Kate Beckinsale finally reunited with her 22-year-old daughter Lily Mo on Friday. The mother-daughter duo, along with Lily’s boyfriend David Schechter, was spotted at the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. Beckinsale shares Lily with former husband and actor Michael Sheen.

The reunion came hours after the 47-year-old actor said in an interview that she hadn’t seen her daughter in two years due to the COVID pandemic.

“I haven’t seen my daughter for two years because of everything. Also, I went to Canada working and she couldn’t come see me. Two years of not seeing your child is the most preposterous thought,” she explained on ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan.’

Beckinsale said she was worried that she wouldn’t be able to recognise her daughter after the time apart.

“Thank goodness for FaceTime and all that, but we’re both panicking that we’ll look really old to each other. My daughter’s 22 and looks 8. So she’s like, ‘I’m just worried that you’re going to think I look old’. I’m like, ‘I’m going to look old!” she said.

Earlier this year, Beckinsale celebrated her daughter’s 22nd birthday by posting a throwback of herself carrying her as a baby.

“Well 22 you sly dog. Happy birthday @lily_sheen the best person ever invented. Lucky lucky me (even after that volcanic poo you did in Tootsies shortly before this photo was taken),” she captioned the photo.

Beckinsale has revealed that she once in a while sniffs her daughter’s socks while she is away.

“I think kids think when they grow up and leave home you have nothing to do all day-when in fact one can have a rich and full life huffing one’s way through their sock drawer and wearing all their pants at once,” she wrote on Instagram in 2019.
