Tamannaah Bhatia and other Bollywood actors praised Kangana Ranaut’s Indira Gandhi look for her upcoming movie, ‘Emergency’. Ranaut will be seen portraying former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the upcoming movie.

Kangana Ranaut shared the poster and two short teaser videos of ‘Emergency’ on her Instagram. Tamannaah Bhatia shared the poster of the movie on her Instagram story on July 15 and wrote “Bloody Brilliant” with several heart eyes emoticons. Arjun Rampal regarded the poster as “superb” in the comments section of Kangna Ranaut’s post. Divya Dutta referred to it as “brilliant”. Ekta Kapoor reacted with a “wow” within the comments section. She was also praised by Anupam Kher. He shared the poster on twitter and wrote, “You are really exceptional and brilliant”.

Ranaut captioned the poster “Presenting #EmergencyFirstLook! Portraying one of the most powerful and controversial women in the history of the world.” Ranaut is directing the upcoming movie. Ritesh Shah has written the screenplay and dialogues of the movie. 

The actress also shared a newspaper clipping from 1975 and wrote, “These were the most dramatic events in the recent history of the world. What led to the Emergency which was declared today and what were its consequences. In the centre of it was the most powerful woman in the world. This deserves a grand-scale epic film of its own. So see you in the theatres next year with #Emergency.”

Ranaut mentioned in an interview that taking up the role of a public figure on the screen is a challenge because one has to look the same, and get the same characteristics and persona. She added that she has spent ample time researching the subject and then commenced the film shoot. 

Kangana Ranaut’s transformation is done by Oscar-winner David Malinowski. He has worked on films like ‘Darkest Hour’, ‘World War Z’ and ‘The Batman’.
