Amid the buzz surrounding Gangubai Kathiawadi’s release and trailer launch, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn recently took to Instagram to reveal his first look from the film.  

Uploaded on Instagram three hours ago, the post has garnered over 121,000 likes and hundreds of comments. The caption reads, “Apni pehchaan se chaar *moon emoji* lagane, aa rahe hai hum! Trailer out tomorrow. #GangubaiKathiawadi in cinemas on 25th Feb, 2022.”

Devgn further tagged the film’s cast and crew in the caption.

Several Instagram users reacted to the film’s first look. One user wrote, “All the best sir, you’re going to prove it.” Another user added, “Ajay King. Your name is enough to create a blockbuster hit.”

One user wrote, “Amazing look sir.”

The poster shows Devgn in front of a vintage car, sporting a hat and a pair of sunglasses. The actor is dressed in a blazer-pants attire.

Alia Bhatt, who will play the protagonist in the film, also took to her Instagram handle to share the post. 

Just a day ago, the 28-year-old actor shared another promo poster of the film on Instagram. She wrote, “Aa rahi hai Gangu. Trailer out on 4th February.”

The post has amassed 966,000 likes and nearly 6,000 comments. Actor Janhvi Kapoor commented fire and applause emojis under the post.

‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film is inspired by the life of Gangubhai, a powerful matriarch icon and mafia figure who was pushed into prostitution at a young age. The story follows her journey of becoming a well-known figure in the underworld. The trailer of the film will release on February 4. 

The film also stars Seema Pahwa, Ajay Devgn, Vijay Raaz, and Indira Tiwari. ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ will hit theatres on February 25, clashing with Ajith Kumar starrer ‘Valimai’ that will premiere on February 24.
