Sharing a photo from the shoot, Akshay Kumar wrote, “So many families would be thanking Sh Uddhav Thackeray today! Grateful for allowing the reopening of cinema halls in Maharashtra from Oct 22. Ab kisi ke roke na rukegi – AA RAHI HAI POLICE.”

On Saturday morning, a delegation of filmmakers and theatre owners met the CM to discuss the reopening of cinema halls across Maharashtra, which is a key territory for movie business. Theatres have been shut in the state since April this year due to the second wave of COVID-19.

‘Sooryavanshi’, which also features Katrina Kaif, was originally scheduled to release on March 24, 2020. It was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, which led to theatre shutdown across the country. The makers then planned to release the movie on Diwali 2020 but had to postpone it.

The movie, which is the fourth film in Shetty’s cop universe, will also see Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh making cameo appearances.

The movie is presented by Reliance Entertainment and produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez in association with Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films.

“Theatres to open in Maharashtra effective from the the 22nd of October…. Finally we can say AA RAHI HAI POLICE!!!” Karan Johar, the producer of the movie, shared on Instagram.
