Gangubai Kathiawadi actor Alia Bhatt, who is awaiting the release of Darlings was asked about Ranbir Kapoor’s recent “twins” comment during a media interaction with Siddharth Kanan.
The actress stated-
“Oh god, pardon my French. Ranbir was doing some joke, and apne hi paer pe unhone kulhari mardi humare paas dearth of info aur news hai toh yeh bhi ek news item ban gaya hai. I think right now, the world should pray for health, happiness and goodness for me and Ranbir… Mujhe bhi baad me pata chala.”

During a recent media interview, Ranbir Kapoor was asked if he and Alia Bhatt were actually going to have twins. He responded, “Don’t create controversy. They asked me to state three things: Two truths and a lie. Now I can’t reveal what are the truths, and what are the lies,” as per Pinkvilla.
The twin theory
The actor was asked to make three statements, two of which were true and one was a lie, but he was not required to disclose which statements were true and which were lies during a game of two truths and a lie with a Film Companion journalist. The actor had announced, “I’m having twins, I’ll be in a major mythological film, and I’ll be taking a long break from work.”
Ranbir revealed in another interview that he has a list of baby names for his soon-to-be child.
When asked if, because most of his male family members’ names begin with the letter R, his baby’s name would also begin with the same initial, Ranbir said he and his wife have considered many baby names, both R and non-R names. He went on to say that he would name the child instinctively after observing his or her personality.

Alia announced her pregnancy with a delightful hospital photograph of herself and her husband, Ranbir Kapoor. The couple married on April 14, this year in their home in Mumbai. The two dated for 5 years before getting married.
