The death of
actor Sushant Singh Rajput has again brought to the fore the topic of nepotism in Bollywood. The actor’s fans targeted stars like Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt, saying that they endorse nepotism and and
make life difficult for outsiders in the industry. As a part of the tirade, the movie ‘Sadak
2’,  starring Alia and directed by her father Mahesh Bhatt, is facing the backlash on social media.  Some of the users are demanding a ban of the Over
the Top (OTT) platform Disney+Hotstar for releasing it.

On Monday,
the hashtag #UninstallHotstar started trending on Twitter as netizens urged
people to boycott the Bhatt family’s project.

In the past,
Janhvi Kapoor starrer “Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl” too has come under the scanner as netizens felt that the actor got the movie without any merits.

Directed by Sharan Sharma, ‘Gunjan Saxena: The
Kargil Girl’ is set for a digital release on August 12. The film will be
available for streaming on Netflix. Along with Janhvi Kapoor, the film also
stars Pankaj Tripathi, and Angad Bedi in prominent roles. The film will narrate
the real-life story of the Indian Air Force Pilot Gunjan Saxena who was also
the first woman pilot in combat.

The screenplay for the film has been developed
by Nikhil Malhotra and Sharran Kumar.
