Johnson announced the news via an Instagram post. “I’m officially serving you your notice,” he wrote in his caption, dropping the release date for what he called Netflix’s biggest movie ever. “The FBI’s top profiler. The world’s most wanted art thief. And the greatest conman the world has ever seen,” he posted.
‘Red Notice’ is set to follow an Interpol-issued Red Notice alerting the world to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted. The FBI’s top profiler, played by Johnson, will go after two rival criminals (Reynolds and Gadot), all brought together by one daring heist.
“This is my career first streaming film and I wanted to make it big and special for all the fans worldwide. This one’s for all of you and I’ll see you in November!” Johnson continued in his post.
Reynolds also shared the same news as Johnson, joking, “True story. They made my entire tuxedo out of @therock‘s socks.” Gadot chimed in, writing that she “can’t wait” for the world to see Red Notice.
In addition to directing, Thurber wrote the heist flick. ‘Red Notice’ marks his third collaboration with Johnson after ‘Central Intelligence’ and ‘Skyscraper’.
‘Red Notice’ could be the biggest feature commitment by Netflix ever, boasting a $130 million budget, said a report by Deadline.com.
