Telugu star Allu Arjun’s most-awaited
film ‘Pushpa’ is expected to release in two parts, reported PTI quoting film’s producers. It is his first pan-Indian film that is planned to be released in Telugu,
Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.

The film was supposed to release last year but the shoot
was delayed due to the COVID pandemic.  Director Sukumar believes that the
script has the potential for a second part and he has already conveyed the same
to the makers. The film was originally planned to be made on a budget of Rs 160
crores, including the remunerations. The estimated budget is now around Rs 250
crores, including both the parts.

In ‘Pushpa’, Fahadh Faasil will play
the role of antagonist. Due to the second wave of COVID-19, the team had to
stop shoot just days after he joined the sets. Major parts of Fahadh’s portions
will likely appear only in the second part. The multilingual action-thriller
sets down the red sanders heist in the hills of Andhra and depicts the
intricate nexus that unfurls in the course of the story of a man who is taken
by greed.

Producers Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi
Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers said the first part of the movie is slated to
release on August 13 and the second part will come out in 2022. The storyline and the characters
took on lives of their own and grew to a span that required the movie to be
released in two parts.

The
film is being produced by Mythri Movie
Makers in coalition with Muttamsetty Media. Rashmika Mandanna, Prakash
Raj, Jagapati Babu, Harish Uthaman, Vennela Kishore, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Anish
Kuruvilla, and many others are part of the supporting cast.
