During his journey on the singing reality show, he was praised by Lancaster and other judges not only for his inherent musical gifts but also for his unmistakable authenticity. Lionel Richie said, %u201COh my God, something special right there.%u201D While Luke Bryan exclaimed, Boy, you can sing %u2026 thank you, Jesus!%u201D

Miller%u2019s determination to stay true to oneself as a country artist never diminished. However, he was eliminated in the Showstopper Round among the top 64 finalists. But when we look back on his experience it was truly amazing, especially since he%u2019s already touring. The 18-year-old said, %u201CI%u2019m 100 percent glad I did %u2018American Idol.%u2019%u201D He further said, he said if he would not been on the show, he would not be doing the amazing things he%u2019s quite capable to do now.
%u201CI%u2019m doing now. I%u2019m doing shows I wouldn%u2019t have had a chance to do six months ago. I treated being (on %u2018American Idol%u2019) as if it were just another gig at a VFW hall or a jamboree. That%u2019s the only way I got through it. I%u2019m the kind of person that will be shaken up badly if I start dwelling on something. I was very proud of myself for not getting all shook up,%u201D he said as reported by Dayton.com.

Saturday%u2019s setlist includes Miller%u2019s debut single and %u201CAmerican Idol%u201D audition song %u201CI%u2019m Over You So Get Over Me,%u201D as well as additional original tunes. Miller with his brand new %u201Croadhouse ready%u201D band in tow, is also planning to put his own spin on beloved songs in the country genre.
According to Dayton.com, he said, %u201CI want to give my audience a little variety. A lot of people like a lot of different things and it%u2019s best to appeal to as many people as you possibly can.%u201D His love for country music grew because of his grandfather%u2019s cattle farm. In addition to singing at church, he got his start with shows in and around Lancaster and steadily moved on to larger markets and stages, including Lucas Oil Stadium, WoodSongs, and Renfro Valley.
Later this summer, he will also open for Hank Williams Jr. and Josh Turner. The 18-year-old is also writing songs for his upcoming album which he describes as having an %u201Cupbeat, happy, laidback%u201D vibe, and hosts his %u201CTunes on Tuesday Live%u201D show for his Facebook page.
