The American Music Awards are being hosted in the city of Los Angeles on Sunday and the glam-filled event will be featuring various Hollywood A-list celebrities. The event is being hosted in person and is also allowing a live audience.

According to reports from Billboard citing the organisers of the event, the American Music Awards — the world’s largest fan-voted awards show– will be broadcast globally in more than 120 countries and territories.

The live broadcast of the event will begin at 8 PM ET from Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater. Indian audience will be able to catch the event at 6:30 AM IST on Monday.

According to reports from Newsweek, the awards ceremony will be available for public viewing via the ABC Network, which will include its streaming service too.

Those who do not have access to the network’s broadcast channels can also witness the star-studded American Music Awards on Hulu+ Live TV, Fubo TV and YouTube TV, which offer a free trial period.

The nominees for the award show were based on streaming, album and digital sales, radio airplay and social activity, and reflect the time period of September 25, 2020, through September 23, 2021. American singer Cardi B makes her host debut at the main event on Sunday.

Highlights on the telecast will include Carrie Underwood and Jason Aldean singing their duet ‘If I Didn’t Love You,’ Kane Brown performing ‘One Mississippi’ from Tennessee State University and New Edition and New Kids on the Block will perform together for the first time, according to reports from Associated Press.

An earlier scheduled performance of ‘Butter’ by the joined forces of BTS and Megan Thee Stallion has been scrapped after the rapper cited personal reasons for dropping out Saturday; Coldplay and BTS will instead sing their hit ‘My Universe.’
