Taylor Swift is looking to end 2022 on a high note. Her latest album, Midnights, has broken numerous records since its release last month, and now she is collecting awards for her 2021 re-recorded album, Red (Taylor’s Version). The album was voted as 2021’s Favorite Pop Album at the American Music Awards.

Red is a 2012 album by Swift. It was created as a part of the artist’s countermeasures when her former recording label, Big Machine Records, refused to sell her the masters of her first six albums.

It was then that Swift decided she would re-record all six albums and release them as her own versions. Upon release, the albums gained widespread critical and commercial success.

Another artist who has managed to turn heads at the 2022 American Music Awards is Machine Gun Kelly. The Texas native, who won the Favorite Rock Artist award for the second successive time, wore a purple suit with spikes all over it. It caused users on social media to wonder whether MGK will be threat to other attendees at the ceremony.

Besides the American Music Awards, Taylor Swift has also garnered a number of nominations for the Grammy Awards. Her nominations include Song of the Year, Best Music Video, Best Country Song, as well as Best Song written for Visual Media.
