Snehlata Panday, Ananya Panday’s grandmother, died on Saturday, July 10 in Mumbai. Her son Chunky Panday and his wife Bhavna Pandey, as well as a slew of other celebrities, paid their tributes at Snehlata Panday’s home.
Ananya rushed to her grandmother’s house for her last rites after being papped earlier in the city for work. The actor was dressed casually in a white kurta with pajamas, and a white mask.

Ananya had penned a sweet message to both of her grandmothers on International Women’s Day and shared lovely pictures with them. She wrote, “the epitome of grace, beauty, perseverance, humour, badass energy and boss woman vibes my Dadi and Nani – happy Women%u2019s day to my best and happy Women%u2019s day to all the lovely ladies out there – you are so very special and everything you need is right inside of you I love you guys u rock. (sic)”
Last year, Ananya had uploaded a wonderful video with her dadi (father’s mother) Snehlata Panday dancing to the Jawaani song from Ananya’s first film ‘Student Of The Year 2’. Ahaan Panday, Ananya’s cousin, was also seen dancing with his grandma in the video. In the caption, the actor wrote: %u201CHappy birthday to my forever jawan Dadi!!! 83 and still rocking – and on my song!!! How special is that.%u201D
On the occasion of Mother’s Day, actor Chunky Panday had shared some childhood memories of his mother on Instagram, “Always A Mama’s Boy. My mother on the set’s of Gunahon ka Faisla 1988. Happy Happy Mothers Day to you All.”
Sohail Khan’s wife Seema Khan, actor Neelam Kothari, Samir Soni, and Deane Pandey were all photographed arriving at the house to pay their respects.

Rysa, Ananya’s younger sister, was seen visiting the house with her mother Bhavna, dressed in a loose white shirt and track trousers. Nirvan Khan, Sohail Khan’s son, arrived at the residence later, as well. Bhai Jagtap, a politician, and Baba Siddiqui were among those who came to pay their respects.
