An Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) official said that they recovered drugs from a lens case owned by superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s eldest son Aryan Khan during its raid at a rave party on board the Empress Cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai on Saturday.

The agency also found drugs hidden in between sanitary pads and medicine boxes of other accused, reports India Today.

Aryan was arrested under four sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) on Sunday. Later in the day, a Mumbai court sent him, and two others, to police custody till October 4.

Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha have been arrested by the NCB, while five others have been detained and are being questioned after raids were conducted by NCB sleuths in the ship on Saturday night as it was docked at the Mumbai coast and ready to sail for Goa.

Drugs like MDMA/ecstasy, cocaine, MD (mephedrone) and charas were recovered by the NCB officials after these searches.Officials said the NCB team lead by its zonal director Sameer Wankhede identified and nabbed the eight and took them along to the agency office in South Mumbai for questioning. The ship had a capacity to carry 1,800 passengers, they said.

In the case, Aryan Khan has been booked under sections 27 (punishment for consumption of any narcotic drug or psychotropic substance), 8C (produce, manufacture, possess, sell or purchase of drugs) and other relevant provisions of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS). He was produced in court and remanded to NCB custody till October 4.

It is believed that the NCB will also seek further remand of the other five accused since it could lead the agency to drug peddlers. They would also be required to sit face to face for interrogation with the accused.
