Actor Shilpa Shetty’s son, Viaan Raj Kundra, shared a picture from the family’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations earlier this month. His post comes just hours after his father, businessman Raj Kundra, was granted bail in a porn case.

Raj Kundra, Shilpa’s husband and a businessman, was granted bail on Monday (September 20), two months after his arrest in the pornography racket case.  He was released from Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai on Tuesday.

Kundra, along with 12 others, was apprehended on July 19. Raj was released on a bond surety of Rs 50,000, according to news agency ANI.

Viaan shared a photo of him posing with Shilpa and his younger sister Samisha in front of a huge Ganesha idol. They were all dressed in white ethnic costumes with floral designs.

“Life as long as Lord Ganesha’s trunk, Trouble as small as his mouse, Moments as sweet as modaks. Ganpati Bappa Morya!” the post read.

In a statement released after Kundra’s arrest, Shilpa said that it was a ‘challenging’ time for her family but that she has full faith in the Mumbai police and judicial system.

She also urged everyone to respect her family’s privacy for the sake of Viaan and Samisha, and maintained that she is a ‘proud law-abiding Indian citizen’. “We don’t deserve a media trial. Please let the law take its course,” she said.
