Putting an end to speculation, the narrative director of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Darby McDevitt, revealed a new location that will feature in the game in response to a fan’s question on Twitter. The game is set to release on November 10 corresponding with the launch of the Xbox Series S/X.

Asked if Robinhood will make an appearance in the game, Darby replied that the game will feature Sherwood Forest which is famous by its historic association with the legend of Robin Hood.

“Robin Hood would have been operating in Assassin Creed 1’s time period. We’re still 300 years from that era. A certain famous forest is in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, however, so you may pretend to be Robin’s ancestor,” Darby said.

An open-world action-adventure game, Assassin Creed Valhalla follows an alternative history of the Viking invasion of Britain. The player controls Eivor, a Viking raider who becomes embroiled in the conflict between the Brotherhood of Assassins and the Templar Order.

The game developed by Ubisoft Montreal is the twelfth major instalment and the twenty-second release in the Assassin’s Creed series, and a successor to the 2018 game Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

As with previous games in the series, Valhalla’s narrative is set in the modern-day. This story will follow Layla Hassan, a character featured in Origins and Odyssey.
