Two new Avenger films are going to be added to the MCU in 2025, Marvel Studios President Kevin Fiege told San Diego Comic Con viewers at the Marvel Panel.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars are slated to release on May 2, 2025 and November 7, 2025 respectively. There are no plot details yet, but fans of the MCU can expect a grand adventure, if previous iterations of the Avengers films are anything to go by.

Marvel’s first three phases, known as the Infinity Saga spent time setting up many of the characters that fans have come to know and love. Phase 4, on the other hand, has gone in a completely different direction, throwing in branching timelines, Egyptian gods and superpowered teenagers. The current phase of the MCU has been critical in setting up the next few phases, which Fiege calls the “Multiverse Saga.”

All of that will be coming to an end as there are only two more releases due this year, as Phase 4 comes to a close. ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ and ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ are the last two MCU properties that are left to make their way to people’s screens at home and in the theatres.

Black Panther will close out Phase 4 with a November release. Judging by the trailer, Wakanda is likely to go to war with the nation of Atlantis. There is also a significant tribute to Chadwick Boseman, who played the titular character until his untimely death.

Other shows like ‘Loki and ‘Falcon and ‘Winter Soldier’ have worked hard to set up the upcoming television shows and franchise films by introducing new characters. ‘Loki’ in particular was instrumental in introducing audiences to Kang the conqueror, or at least one version of him in the show.

His death at the end of the series signaled a turning point in the entire MCU, which is likely to affect how stories play out as Marvel decides kinds of stories audiences want.
