Deputies with the Miami Police Department responded to rapper Bad Bunny’s downtown Miami restaurant on Saturday after receiving reports of a possible burglary in progress. The suspect is reportedly armed and in the building, TMZ reported.The Japanese steakhouse, Gekko, is located in the Brickell neighborhood. On Saturday, the streets were blocked off and the restaurant was surrounded by dozens of police vehicles. SWAT units were also at the scene.

There are multiple vehicles parked right in front of BB’s property, with officers seen going in and out of the front entrance. There was a panic that something may have happened to the rapper but that’s not the case. The rapper is unharmed.

According to a TMZ report, the owners of Gekko gave been informed about the possible fugitive situation that’s playing out in the SLS LUX Brickell Hotel, which is adjoining Gekko and shares the block.

Bad Bunny is not in Florida at the moment, so he’s not even in the vicinity of what’s happening, reported TMZ.

Gekko has become a major hot spot in the city when Bad Bunny and Grutman inaugurated this restaurant back in August, it attracted a big crowd and a lot of celebrities.

Last week, the closed-captioning during Bad Bunny’s Grammy Awards performance read “Singing in Non-English,” sparking backlash from fans.
