After creating buzz for its riveting plot, makers of ‘Badhaai Do’ recently released a new track titled ‘Atak Gaya’. Uploaded two hours ago on YouTube, the soulful track has racked up over 241,000 views and more than 1,000 comments.
Starring the film’s protagonists Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, the track shows a glimpse of the duo’s dynamic in the film. Shot in beachy locales of Goa, the song is a happy melody of love and companionship. The track has vocals by Arijit Singh and Rupali Moghe, and is composed by Amit Trivedi.
‘Atak Gaya’ features the married duo’s friendship, and acknowledges their conflicting sexual identities and relationships with other people.

Actor Bhumi Pednekar took to Instagram to share a snippet of the track. She wrote, “for those who are happily stuck in love! Amit Trivedi and Arijit Singh’s #AtakGaya song out now!”
Uploaded three hours ago, the Instagram post has amassed more than 15,000 views and several comments. One user wrote, “@rajkummar_rao the dance steps are EPIC!”
Another user added, “Just love it. Can’t wait to see Badhaai Ho in theatres soon.”
Another user lauded the film’s LGBTQ-centric approach and added, “The LGBTQ representation is so adorable. Thank you so much.”

The title track of the film was released earlier this week. The peppy dance number features the duo’s wedding celebrations. The track has garnered over 12 million views on Youtube since its release.
‘Badhaai Do’, is set to premiere on February 11. The film revolves around the hidden sexual identities of Shardul and Sumi, a married couple. ‘Badhaai Do’ is a sequel to the 2018 film, ‘Badhaai Ho’. The 2018 film starred Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao, and Sanya Malhotra.
The sequel is directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni and written by Akshat Ghildial and Suman Adhikary. ’Badhaai Do’ is produced under the Junglee Pictures banner.
