John Cena, with a bald spot on his head, managed only a loss against Austin Theory in the WrestleMania 39 on Saturday. The marquee event took place at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Cena dominated most of the controversial match. The WWE star delivered several blows and took Theory down multiple times. However, Austin Theory took advantage by biting his opponent’s ear in the early stages.

John Cena took down Theory, locked him and forced a tap down. The actor and former rapper thought he had won but the referee was down in the ring and could not see it.

Austin then took advantage and landed a low blow, which the referee missed again. He then hit Cena and kept his shoulder on the mat to 1,2, 3. He thus won in a controversial manner.

“WHY DOES AUSTIN THEORY KEEP BITING LIKE HE’S A TODDLER,” a Twitter user said.

“Austin Theory biting John Cena twice like he’s Luis Suarez against Chiellini at the 2014 World Cup,” another one added.

Several social media users called Austin Theory a cheater.
