The BET Awards 2023 will be held on June 25. The nominations for this year’s BET Awards were announced on Thursday.

The BET Voting Academy, a distinguished collection of experts and influencers from diverse sectors including music, media, digital marketing, sports journalism, public relations, and creative arts, meticulously selected the nominations for the BET Awards. Their expertise and cumulative knowledge were critical in identifying the deserving prize nominees.

Drake had an impressive showing when the nominees were announced, collecting seven nominations in several categories. Among his nominations were Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Album of the Year, and Best Male R&B/Pop Artist.

Glorilla, a Memphis rapper, had a huge impact on the BET Awards nominations, nearly matching Drake’s achievement with six nominations. Glorilla’s significant achievements include being voted BET’s breakout hip-hop artist of the year for 2022.

21 Savage and Lizzo emerged as significant contenders in the BET Awards nominations, both receiving five. Notable nominations include Beyoncé, Burna Boy, Chris Brown, Ice Spice, and SZA. Cardi B, Coco Jones, FLO, Future, Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar, Maverick City Music, and Kirk Franklin are also on the list.

However, social media users sidelining the nominations are now involved in guessing the host for the ceremony. The organizers have not released any information regarding the host.

One user tweeted, “You know who I’d love to see host the BET Awards this year? Keke Palmer!” 

Several Twitter users backed Monique to be the host of the awards.
