Bigg Boss 15 contestant Karan Kundraa faced backlash after his comments on co-contestant, Shamita Shetty. Karan had age-shamed the actor in a recent episode by calling her ‘aunty’. This did not go down too well with social media users who bashed him for his distasteful comment.

Not just social media users, even Shamita’s friends slammed Karan for his comments.

“Karan kundra kindly grow up and stop targeting @shamitashetty_official on Bigg Boss. Calling grown up women Aunty is become a, lame way of shaming them when you are 37 yourself,” Neha Bhasin wrote on Insragram.

“Though I like his advice #karankundra I wish he had not called @ShamitaShetty aunty. What”s this age bashing happening all over again. “Aunty” is much younger than many in spirit and fire and rationality and may actually lift the #bb15 trophy this year. @ColorsTV @ShamitaShetty (sic),” Kashmera Shah tweeted.

On Day 6 of Bigg Boss 15, Karan was seen apologising to Shamita for his behaviour towards her, saying that he realised whatever he said was not right.

He also tells Shamita that he targeted her only because he wanted to break Nishant Bhatt and Pratik Shehajpal’s bond.

“I have been trying my best to irritate, poke and break you down. But that does not mean I do not want to be in your good books. We wanted Pratik to get violent. He controlled his anger later, but he reacted exactly the way we wanted him to. We played his strategy against him this time,” he tells her.

“Everything was focused on you. We wanted you to lose it, and then make use of the domino effect,” he added.

Shamita accepts Karan’s apology and and the two sorted out their differences.
