Former Bigg Boss OTT contestant Urfi Javed said that when she heard about the death of ‘Bigg Boss 13’ winner Sidharth Shukla, she thought that it was fake news. Sidharth Shukla died on Thursday at the age of 40. On Friday, he was cremated in the presence of his family members and friends.

Urfi told Koimoi that she couldn’t believe it at first as she thought it was fake news. “When I really got to know I was heartbroken, in fact, my mom called me crying, she too was a big big Siddarth fan. She used to pray for him when he was doing Big Boss,” she said.

She added that she was extremely upset when she couldn’t meet Sidharth on Bigg Boss OTT as she was evicted before he made an appearance on the controversial show. “The day I got evicted, he came and interacted with the contestants. I was so so upset that I didn’t get to meet him,” she said.

Urfi also said, “My heart goes out to his family and fans who loved him so much. May God give them the strength to endure this pain. It’s nearly impossible to accept this, but I hope one day we are able to look back at his journey with a smile.”

Early reports suggested that Sidharth Shukla died due to a heart attack, but there is no confirmation from the authorities about the exact cause of his death. However, the police confirmed that there were no signs of unnatural death in the autopsy report. Sidharth Shukla is survived by his mother and two sisters.
