The winners of 54 awards were revealed on a TikTok livestream presented by Tetris Kelly and Tiffany Taylor ahead of tonight’s 2022 Billboard Music Awards (BBMA).

The Billboard Music Awards recognise the year’s top-performing artists on the Billboard Charts in 62 categories spanning all musical genres. The remaining categories will be announced tonight from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Olivia Rodrigo, a first-time finalist, won big with six Billboard Music Awards, the most of the night. She is currently tied with Ye, who has six wins as well. Rodrigo is a finalist in the Top Female Artist category, which will be announced on tonight’s show, and she may win.

For the first time, Ye was named Top Christian Artist, as well as Top Gospel Artist and Top Gospel Song for the third year in a row. Ye has won Top Gospel Album for the second time.

Drake, the artist with the most Billboard Music Awards of all time, with five wins so far. He still holds the record with 34 wins.

BTS made history this evening.

The 2022 Billboard Music Prizes were announced on May 15, local time, and BTS won three of the six awards for which they were nominated.

BTS was named Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist, and Top Selling Song (for their smash single “Butter”) for the second year in a row. BTS also wins Top Duo/Group for the third time at the Billboard Music Awards in 2022 (they first won the award in 2019).

BTS has officially surpassed Destiny’s Child to become the group with the most Billboard Music Awards in history, having received a trophy at every single Billboard Music Awards since 2017. The trio has now won 12 Billboard Music Awards, beating Destiny’s Child’s previous record of 11 wins, which had stood for 17 years.
