Billie Eilish has been doing the Vanity Fair Time Capsule interview since she was 15, and the ritual has been successfully carried into 2022 as well. The 20-year-old singer opened up on various aspects of her life in the interview, including her struggles with body image issues, her headlining Coachella and Glastonbury music festivals, winning an Oscar for No Time to Die, and boyfriend Jesse Rutherford.

Another announcement she made in the interview that will come as exciting news for her fans is the fact that Eilish and her brother Finneas have once again started working on a new album together.

“We just started the process of making an album, which is really exciting,” said Eilish. She further added, “So now we have, like, specific days where we see each other, which is really nice because, you know, you get caught up in life.”

Eilish and her brother have co-written almost all of her songs, with the latter also having produced the majority of the same. The Bad Guy singer has always recognised her brother’s contribution to her musical career. She often introduces him on stage as “my big brother and my best friend.”

The duo had blown up in November 2015 after releasing a song called Ocean Eyes on SoundCloud, which suddenly brought them massive international success and a record deal. Regarding this success, Eilish had once said, “We put that out and then somehow it got huge, and then things got super weird and very surreal”.

“And then we started writing together — it wasn’t like a definitive decision, but we just started doing it. I think the first one was either ‘Hostage’ or ‘Bellyache,’” she further added.

Eilish has not yet confirmed the release date for her upcoming album, which will also be her third studio album after When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and Happier Than Ever.
