Black Adam is the latest DC movie starring Dwayne Johnson that is looking to become one of the biggest hits of the season. Early reports suggest that the film is looking at a worldwide weekend collection of $135 crores. Although hardly one of DC’s best films, Black Adam does offer us an insight into what the franchise has planned for its future. It introduces four major superheroes (besides the main character), namely, Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo), Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell,) and Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan), and it remains to be seen whether DCEU chooses to build on them. Here are some of the major Easter eggs from the movie:
Amanda Waller’s appearance
Amanda Waller, the character who was first introduced in 2016’s Suicide Squad, makes an appearance in the film. This points to Black Adam’s connection with the greater DC Universe, and even the mid-credits scene confirms that DC is indeed planning something big with the character.

Justice League references
There are a number of Justice League references throughout the movie. In the scene where Black Adam wakes up in Amon Tomaz’s room, he wakes up from a nightmare and in a reflex action, burns the face of the Superman poster on the teenager’s wall. The room is filled with figurines and posters of other Justice League characters who might soon face the Egyptian anti-hero in a new movie.
Tribute to Man of Steel origin
In one scene, which was also there in the second trailer of the film, Tech-Adam, who has not yet been granted his powers, is seen floating in the ocean in a way which is quite reminiscent of Clark Kent floating in the ocean before he debuts as the indisputable Superman.

The JSA’s Javlin
The Justice Society of America, who convene to stop Black Adam from wreaking havoc, are seen boarding the jet Javelin to take off to Kahndaq. This is the same jet that was used in the animated series Justice League.
