K-pop band, Blackpink‘s artist Lisa has confirmed that she is releasing a solo album soon, ending months of speculation about her solo work. The musician on Sunday took to Instagram to share the first poster of her first upcoming single. Here’s the post.

Lisa’s debut solo album was first confirmed in July, however, no additional details and timeline were released back then.
The K-pop artist’s solo debut marks the third solo project from Blackpink, following Jennie and Rosé‘s chart-topping releases ‘SOLO’ and ‘R’, respectively.

In July, the rumours of Lisa, leaving the blockbuster band made headlines. The claims, however, were false and devoid of any factual proof but created quite a buzz on social media at the time.,
The speculations emerged when fans learned that Jennie and Rosé, Blackpink members, were in the United States. YG Entertainment has previously revealed that the duo had travelled to the States to work on a new project. The specifics, however, had not been revealed.
That resulted in K-pop fans criticising YG Entertainment, alleging that Lisa was being handled unfairly. This fueled speculation that Lisa might be leaving the band. In reality, these were merely rumours with no basis in fact.
Blackpink is an all-girl K-Pop group that has been delivering blockbuster hits ever since its creation. The band debuted in August 2016. The band has over 5 songs with over 1 billion views on Youtube.
The four-membered girl group has four members — Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose. Lisa is the group’s main dancer and rapper. They have been breaking many records, including being the most-subscribed music channel on YouTube and the most-followed female group on Spotify.
The girls continue to thrive in their success and even collaborated with Lady Gaga for the track “Sour Candy,” and is something you must listen to if you love Gaga and K-Pop.
Recently, DJ Snake has also hinted at his and Lisa’s collaboration on his Instagram stories. Lisa and YG Entertainment have yet to comment on the situation.
