Stand-up comedian and actor Bob Saget was reportedly found dead in a hotel in Orlando on Sunday, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. He was 65.

Deputies with the Sheriff’s Department and the fire department responded to Ritz-Carlton around 4 pm EDT on Sunday after receiving information that hotel security had found Bob in his room. The actor, best known for portraying the role of Danny Tanner in ‘Full House’, was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances of his death were not clear. 

“Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case,” a tweet from Orange County Sheriff’s Office stated.

The actor, who was also the long-time host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” had been touring the country since September. On Saturday night, he did a show at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in Jacksonville.

He tweeted after the show, “Loved tonight’s show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville. Appreciative audience. Thanks again to @RealTimWilkins for opening. I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I’m happily addicted again to this s–t.”

Speaking to Jake Tapper in a July 2021 interview, Saget had said that the track of his career was unexpected.

“‘Full House’ was an accident. I got fired on CBS and was asked to be in ‘Full House,'” he said.

Following his death, Kat Dennings, who played Saget’s daughter is one season of Raising Dad’, tweeted, “Oh god. Bob Saget!!! The loveliest man. I was his TV daughter for one season and he was always so kind and protective. So so sorry for his family.”

The actor is survived by his three children and wife Kelly Rizzo.
