Brandy and Lil Wayne joined Jack Harlow for a special performance at the BET awards. The rapper was singing his own verse “Poison” when his first guest Wayne just emanated on the stage. Soon they were joined by Brandy who sang “First Class”, the freestyle that premiered last year. The special performance of the three startled the audience.
The rendition happened in response to a viral interview of Jack Harlow. The 24-year-old said that he was not able to identify Brandy in 1998’s “Angel in Disguise”. He also said that he wasn’t aware of the R&B singer to be Ray J’s sister.
Brandy started with the song, “Allow me to reintroduce myself, my name is / World-famous/ one of the greatest / Living legends. Did I mention my résumé is amazing?” as she met Harlow on the catwalk of the stage. Ray J could also be seen cheering and dancing along with her sister and Harlow on the stage as both of them closed their performance. Both the sisters could be seen sharing a friendly hug as Brandy sang the last few notes of “First Class”.
Other than the special performance of these three, there were other stars who added up to this night. Lizzo, Babyface, Chance the Rapper, Chlöe, Doechii, Ella Mai, Fireboy DML were among the other performers for the night. The BET Awards 2022, was hosted by Taraji P.
