Brandy Norwood, The Boy is Mine singer, was hospitalised in Los Angeles on Tuesday, after suffering from a seizure. She later said in a tweet that she is recovering and the doctors have advised her to rest to cure the dehydration and “low amounts of nutrition”. 

Norwood was born on February 11, 1979, in McComb, Mississippi. She is 43 years of age as of October 2022. She is the elder sister of singer and actor Ray J and cousin to rapper Snoop Dogg and WWE wrestler Sasha Banks.

Her daughter Sy’rai Iman Smith was born in 2002 to Robert “Big Bert” Smith, the American record producer. Smith and Brandy started dating in 2001, but there is no record to suggest that they got married. 

Apart from her relationship with Robert Smith, the singer has briefly dated Kobe Bryant and was engaged to the basketball player Ryan Press.
