Beyonce, as a solo artist, has been at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in the past, but has now found her way there again with Break My Soul, which made it to the Hot 100 list six weeks back. The 40-year-old’s Renaissance album has also debuted on the Billboard 200 chart at No 1 position.

Queen Bee was at the top of the song charts by herself back in 2008, when the American singer-songwriter came out with Single Ladies. The song dominated the Hot 100 chart for four weeks.

She’s been at the top of the chart since then, but with other artists. The first time was in 2017 with British singer Ed Sheeran, with whom Beyonce collaborated for the duet of Perfect. The second was her work with Megan Thee Stallion, which saw Beyonce at the top of the chart in 2020, for a remix of Stallion’s Savage.

Ahead of these collaborations, Beyonce had five No 1s to her name between 2003 and 2008. With more recent collaborations the number jumps to eight, and if one takes her time with Destiny’s Child into account, then Beyonce has another four to her name. Her first No 1 was Bills, Bills, Bills, the Destiny’s Child song.

Renaissance released on July 29 and played a large part in pushing Break My Soul to the top spot. With Beyonce’s new rise, Lizzo’s About Damn Time got bumped down to the No 2 spot, while putting Harry Styles’  As it Was in the rearview after it dominated for ten weeks.

Beyonce has more good news when it comes to the Hot 100 chart since all 16 of her songs from Renaissance made it there. Apart from Break My Soul, Cuff It is at No 13 while Alien Superstar is at No 19.
