Brendan Gleeson, an Irish actor and filmmaker, is most
recognised for his role as Winston Churchill in the mini-series Into the Storm.
Directed by Todd Phillips, Joker: Folie a Deux will feature the Emmy Award
winner Brendan Gleeson. Hollywood A-listers like Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De
Niro
, Lady Gaga, and Zazie Beetz will all also appear in the Warner Bros. film.

comedy-drama movie The Banshees of Inisherin. Check out the details of his

The first trailer for Martin McDonagh’s critically acclaimed
film The Banshees of Inisherin was released in August this year. This is
Martin’s big-screen comeback for the first time since 2017. The newly released
teaser features Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson as two longtime friends who
react differently when their friendship is abruptly broken.

In the first teaser for the upcoming drama, Colin Farrell is
seen struggling with Brendan Gleeson’s sudden decision to cut off communication
with him without providing any meaningful explanation.

The magical Irish scenery only serves to heighten the sense of
suspense and thrill that pervades the drama-comedy despite its lighthearted
tone. The characters exhibit quirky behaviour and an undercurrent of humour, as
well as some confrontational moments. The remaining details of the storyline
are unknown, but they undoubtedly look dramatic when put against the story’s
tumultuous sociopolitical backdrop, which appears to be expertly balanced
against the picturesque Irish countryside.

The upcoming comedy-drama film will premiere at Venice Film Festival
on September 5 and is set to release on October 21, 2022.

2. Joker: Folie a Deux

Phillips revealed a Joker sequel on Instagram, early this year.
Two images were uploaded by the director. The first is the title page of the
script for the future movie, which states that its working title is Joker:
Folie à Deux. The second image depicts Joaquin Phoenix (who won the Academy
Award for Best Actor for his role as the Joker in the first film adaptation)
reading the said script.

It is rumoured that the majority of the movie will take place in
Arkham Asylum. The audience was presented with a gritty perspective on the
origins of the clown-turned supervillain in Joker (2019). Joker 2, which will
now debut on October 4, 2024, five years after the first movie’s release,
promises to be radically different with Lady Gaga perhaps playing Harley Quinn
in the musical.
