Singer Britney Spears‘ wedding to partner Sam Asghari in Los Angeles on Thursday was interrupted by her first husband Jason Alexander, resulting in a police response, TMZ reported. Alexander live-streamed the incident on Instagram.

The Live started with him approaching the security and telling them that he had been invited to the wedding by his ex-wife Spears and that he would crash it if he was not allowed inside.

“She’s my first wife, my only wife. I’m her first husband, I’m here to crash the wedding,” he tells the security.

His phone freezes up and the video then cuts to him walking inside the singer’s home before he is eventually restrained. It was unclear how he made it inside.

Deputies with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department have responded to a trespassing call and were reportedly still on the scene.

“Jason Alexander has been handcuffed, taken into custody and arrested. I express my thanks to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department for their prompt response and good work,” Spears’ attorney, Mathew Rosengart, told exclusively to Page Six.

“And we will seek to ensure that Mr. Alexander is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” he added.

Alexander and Spears were childhood friends. They tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2004 but their marriage was annulled 55 hours later. He supported the 40-year-old pop singer throughout her controversial conservatorship battle and also attended several #FreeBritney rallies.

“They think it’s incredibly inappropriate and downright weird. It’s bad enough that the family has to deal with fans getting too close for comfort, but they’d like to think they can expect more from Jason, who claims to still have so much love and respect for Britney,” a source told Page Six after Thursday’s incident.
