Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 Will Consist Of Ten Episodes

Season 8 will be the shortest season yet, with only 10 half-hour episodes, even fewer than Season 7’s 13 episodes. Isn’t ten better than nothing? Season 8 was supposed to premiere a year earlier, according to The Hollywood Reporter, but COVID significantly delayed production. Filming for Season 8 finally concluded in early June 2021, as confirmed by executive producer Dan Goor.

When NBC announced that an eighth season had been ordered, the cast rejoiced on Twitter. There were, of course, some tears. Terry Crews said in a recent interview with Seth Meyers that the actors had been quite emotional as the show came to a conclusion. We still have a whole season until the 99th Precinct’s lights go out. There will be plenty of chuckles before we have to turn on the waterworks.
