The group had been initially appointed in July and received the certifications on September 14 at a formal event.

The famous K-Pop boy band is also scheduled to attend the 76th UN General Assembly next week.

“We have grown up together with the current youth generation. We have directly and indirectly witnessed and experienced the impact of society, such as global problems and a great economic crisis. We will participate, whether it is a general meeting or if there is something we can do and we have the strength to do it,” according to Soompi, an English-language website providing coverage of Korean pop culture.

Meanwhile, BTS also made big news just one day ago when they confirmed ongoing rumours surrounding the group’s collaboration with Coldplay were true.

The official announcement was made earlier in the day via the Twitter handles of both bands and the news has sent the fans into a frenzy. The song will be a part of Coldplay’s ninth studio album ‘Music of the Spheres’ which will be out on Friday, October 15.

The track has been written by both the bands and features lyrics in English as well as Korean. A limited two-track CD single will be released which would include a copy of handwritten lyrics of the song. It will include the song ‘My Universe’ and an instrumental version of the same.
