HYBE has confirmed that all members of the hit band BTS will serve in the military. The music label stated in a statement that Jin will begin his process as early as the end of October. Others will join as and when requested.

BIGHIT MUSIC, the management company, announced on the 17th that  “BTS members have begun detailed preparations to fulfill their military service obligations, starting with Jin, who will follow the enlistment procedures after he finishes the promotions for his solo release.”

Seeing this, many ARMYs took to Twitter to express their feelings.

One user wrote – “We’ll be waiting for you. We love you”

While another wrote – “One thing I’ll forever praise BTS for, is their honesty and transparency. The Festa Dinner, their speeches in Busan, it literally prepares us for this moment where we could easily be confused & sad, but now that we’re informed, we’re understanding and more eager to support them.”

A very emotional user wrote- “I would be lying if i said i wasn’t crying moments ago but on the other hand, i’m so excited for them, it means growth and learning for the boys, i want them to experience every beautiful thing life has to offer, i want them to make more beautiful memories that they can cherish.”

While some were counting down the days until they could see BTS again and were pleased to support them in all their activities, others were already formulating plans to set records even without them to maintain their popularity. Others were still taking it all in, while some were afraid of losing a constant that kept them anchored.

BTS was founded more than 10 years ago, and since then, the group has achieved widespread success, broken records, and elevated K-Pop to new heights. BIGHIT MUSIC has concentrated on the turning point, which is now, when it is feasible to respect the requirements of the nation and allow these healthy young men to serve alongside their fellow citizens. Jin, a member of the group, will start the procedure as soon as the end of October, when his solo release plan is complete, arrives. He will next adhere to the Korean government’s recruitment process.
