Min Yoon-gi, better known by his stage name Suga, is a South Korean rapper, producer and songwriter. He made his debut in 2013 as the member of South Korean pop band BTS. As a solo artist, he has released two albums until now, which are Agust D (2016) and D-2, which was released last year.

On his 28th birthday, let’s visit his top five songs.

1. Eight– It is a digital single by IU, South Korean popstar feat by Suga. It was released on May 6, 2020. The song won many awards and nominations, it was awarded as the Song of the year 2020 by MNet Music awards and the best pop song award by Korean Music Awards.

2. Daechwita– In his recent album D-2, the pop star came up with a song named ‘Daechwita’ which is a follow-up of the star’s previous album Agust D, which was released in 2016. Daechwita’ made its debut at number 76 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming the first Korean solo singer to chart, simultaneously on the Hot 100 and Billboard 200.

3. Interlude– The song was made by American singer Halsey and the South Korean pop star. It was released in December 2019 from Halsey’s third album ‘Maniac.’ The song ranked in a lot of Billboard charts including Australia Digital Tracks, Canada Hot Digital Song Sales and Finland Digital Song Sales, where it was the top ranked song.

4. Burn It– It is a song by Agust D featuring Max. The song was released in May 2020. It is the sixth track featured on the mixtape D-2. The album D-2 was charted for a long time on many charts. 

5. Song Request– It is a song by Lee So Ra which featured Suga in it. The song was released in January 2019. It also won the award for best collaboration by Mnet Asian Music Awards.

Suga is the lead rapper of BTS and joined the music world with Big Hit Entertainment, prior to which he was a underground rapper with the stage name ‘Gloss’.
