Burt Bacharach, the legendary American composer, has died of natural causes at the age of 94. He took his last breaths at his home in Los Angeles. He was a known name in the world of pop music and his death is being mourned by the entire music industry across the world.

Bacharach did his greatest work with lyricist Hal David. Bacharach and David produced numerous movie themes including What’s New, Pussy Cat, The Look of Love, etc.

They scored back to Bach’s UK No. 1s with two of their earliest songs, The Story of My Life by Marty Robbins and Magic Moments by Perry Como. In his four decades-long careers, Bacharach produced 73 Top 40 hits in the US and about 52 in the UK.

Subsequently, he and David created some of the all-time classics and most popular songs, like I Say a Little Prayer,, Make it Easy on Yourself, and Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head. In his lifetime, he won six Grammy Awards and three Oscars. Additionally, he received a lifetime achievement Grammy in 2008 for his contribution to the world of music.

Finally, he tied the knot with Jane Hansen in 1993. They remained married till Bacharach’s death.

Raleigh is an accomplished equestrian and works as a health promotion program administrator now.
