Celebrity manager Disha Salian, who died in June last year, has received a mention in the latest Bollywood horror-comedy ‘Roohi’. She was the former manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who allegedly killed himself five days after Disha’s death. However, in ‘Roohi’, Disha has been mentioned as the manager of actor Varun Sharma.

In the end credits of ‘Roohi’, Disha has been credited as ‘late Disha Salian’. She reportedly jumped off or accidentally fell from the 14th-floor apartment of her fiancee in Malad, Mumbai.

After Disha’s demise, Varun posted a picture with her on his Instagram handle saying, “Am at a loss of words. Speechless. Numb. It all looks unreal. So many memories. Such a lovely person and a dear friend. You always wore that smile everyday, and with such kindness you dealt with everything that came your way. You will be deeply missed. Prayers and Strength to the Family. I still can’t believe Disha you’re gone. Gone too Soon.”

Disha and Sushant’s cases sparked speculation in media that their deaths were related to each other. However, the Mumbai police found no such connection. Some rumours linking actor Sooraj Pancholi to Disha’s demise also surfaced on social media, which was cleared by the actor eventually.

Meanwhile, ‘Roohi’ has been released on Thursday and fans can now watch the film in theatres. Directed by Hardik Mehta, the story revolves around a ghost who abducts brides on their honeymoons. It stars actors Janhvi Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Varun.
