Applegate calls her daughter most important person in this world

“The most important person in this world is my daughter. You are so much more than even you know. You are so beautiful and kind and smart and interesting. I’m blessed every day that I get to wake up and take you to school…thank you for standing by me through all of this,” she said.

Applegate was honoured for her long career, having made her television debut as the baby son of the character played by her real-life mother, Nancy Priddy, on Days of Our Lives just one year after her birth.

Throughout her childhood and adolescence, she appeared in a number of movies and TV shows in minor roles, but her breakthrough performance was as Kelly Bundy, the stunning and sarcastic daughter on Married with Children. In recognition of her portrayal of Rachel Green’s middle sister in the ‘Friends’ television series, she was given an Emmy for outstanding guest actress in a comedy series.
