Cindy Williams, actor best known for her role in the popular 1970s sitcom, Laverne & Shurley, has died at the age of 75, her family said. Williams died in Los Angeles on Wednesday after a short illness, her children, Zak and Emily Hudson, said in a statement issued through family spokesperson Liza Cranis.
Zak and Emily Hudson called their mother “kind and hilarious”. Her death “has brought us insurmountable sadness that could never truly be expressed”, they said in the statement.

In 1982, Williams married Bill Hudson of the musical trio Hudson Brothers. The couple was blessed with two children, a daughter Emily and a son Zachary. However, the marriage did not work out for long and the two parted ways in 2000.

Cindy Williams’ first child is her daughter, Emily Hudson, who was born in 1982. He has three half-siblings including Oliver Hudson and Kate Hudson from his father’s other marriage. Despite the strained bond with her birth father, Kate spoke about wanting to reconnect with Zach and Emily during a January 2021 episode of her podcast, Sibling Revelry.

Zachary Hudson
Zak was born in 1986. He is known for his role in the 2007 American epic fantasy swashbuckler film Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. He is also popular for playing a role in the cyberpunk science-fiction film Alita: Battle Angel. The actor is married twice. First, he married his longtime girlfriend Michelle Hudson in 1994. The couple has twin sons Logan Hudson and Skyler Hudson. They also have a son Hunter Hudson born in 2001. Zak and Michelle stayed in a conjugal relationship for 18 years and later divorced in 2012.
