Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel It Ends With Us will now be a movie developed by Wayfarer Studios and Sony Pictures. The movie will star Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.

Production cast:

The film will be directed by Baldoni, with Christy Hall adapting the script, according to the Deadline. Alex Saks will produce for Saks Picture Company, along with Jamey Heath, who will produce on behalf of Wayfarer Studios. Lively and Hoover are executive producers along with Steve Sarowitz, Andrew Calof and Baldoni on behalf of Wayfarer, which is also co-financing the project.

Hoover’s book sold more than 20 million copies and was published in 43 languages. It was the top-selling print book of 2022, and has been on the New York Times Best Seller List for over 90 weeks.

Character and plot:

It Ends With Us tells the story of a small-town girl Lily, who moves to Boston to start her own business. She falls in love with neurosurgeon Ryle, but his “complete aversion to relationships is disturbing,” thebook’s description reads.
