Jenee Fleenor was voted Musician of the Year at the 55th Annual Country Music Association Awards ceremony  on Wednesday. The American singer and songwriter has been enjoying her best time as an artist and is known for playing the fiddle, mandolin and acoustic guitar.

The Country Music Awards were hosted by Luke Bryan in an entertaining ceremony which took place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Miranda Lambert performed the opening act with powerful hits, including “Kerosene”, “Mama’s Broken Heart” and “Gunpowder & Lead”.

The CMAs are always a fun affair with more performances than awards and this year the stage was blessed with the likes of Jimmie Allen, Jennifer Hudson and Gabby Barrett.

In 2019, Jenee Fleenor became the first woman to win the Country Music Association’s Musician of the Year award as well as the first fiddle player to achieve the feat in over two decades.

The talented artist was born in Springdale, Arkansas, and learned to play the violin when she was just three-years-old with the Suzuki method of playing. She became a part of a local band as a fiddle player when she was ten.

Fleenor has been Blake Shelton’s go-to fiddle player for the last eight years, which speaks volumes about her talent. In a career that has spanned two decades, she has toured with the likes of Terri Clark and Martina McBride.

Jenee has also played on records for Blake Shelton, Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Jon Pardi, Trace Adkins, Joe Nichols and several others.

Other performers on the awards night include the Brothers Osborne, Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde, and Mickey Guyton with Brittney Spencer and Madeline Edwards.

The New Artist of the Year award was won by Jimmie Allen while the Album of the Year award was won by Starting Over, a masterpiece by Chris Stapleton.
