A special NDPS Court extended the judicial custody of Aryan Khan and others till October 30 in the cruise drug case. Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 3 following a raid aboard a cruise ship.

Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha were among several people arrested in the cruise drugs case. The special court had sent them to judicial custody till October 20 earlier. On Wednesday, the special NDPS court rejected Aryan Khan’s bail application.

After his bail application was rejected, Aryan Khan moved the Bombay High Court. The high court has listed the matter for October 26.

Meanwhile, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) summoned actor Ananya Panday in the cruise drugs case on Thursday. The anti-narcotics agency is said to have found links to her while investigating Aryan Khan and have seized her laptop and mobile phone.

Ananya Panday made her Bollywood debut in 2019 and is the daughter of actor Chunky Panday. 

Earlier in the day, Shah Rukh Khan went to meet Aryan Khan at the Arthur Road Jail. A video of the actor leaving the prison surfaced on social media. In the video, Shah Rukh Khan can be seen greeting fans with folded hands as journalists question him on what he spoke about with his son. 

Aryan Khan, 23, was arrested on October 3 following a raid at a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. Aryan Khan’s lawyers have argued that no banned substances were found on his person while the NCB has argued that Aryan Khan’s WhatsApp chats indicate his ties to drugs. To this charge, Khan’s lawyers have said that the chats could be misunderstood.
