The release of the much-anticipated video game ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ has been delayed for the third time and will be out December 10, 2020.

Previously, developer CD Projekt Red had slated a November 19 release for the title, however, it has been moved back 21 days owing to complications surrounding its multiplatform release, as per the statement released by the company.

Explaining the situation, the company said, “The biggest challenge for us right now is shipping the game on current-gen, next-gen and PC at the same time, which requires us to prepare and test 9 versions of it while working from home.”

“We’re aware it might seem unrealistic when someone says that 21 days can make any difference in such a massive and complex game, but they really do.”

Although the fans have been left massively disappointed by the delays, the company insisted, “Since Cyberpunk 2077 evolved towards almost being a next-gen title somewhere along the way, we need to make sure everything works well and every version runs smoothly.”

The futuristic action-adventure game garnered major attraction upon its official reveal owing to its premise and also because the game features Hollywood superstar Keanu Reeves as one of the major characters.
