Exactly a year after their split, legendary electronic music duo Daft Punk has returned to social media, leaving fans excited, with some hoping that the two are back.
It all started when the duo’s verified Instagram account shared a captionless image reminiscent of their debut album Homework. The same was shared on the Twitter account.

Soon after the photos were shared, several of their fans took to social media to express their excitement.
“So Daft Punk have updated their profile photos and launched an official Twitter & Twitch account on the one-year anniversary of their breakup. What does this all mean? lol” one person tweeted.
“I go on Twitter when theres a daft punk update and that is it,” another person tweeted.
“Back to Twitter bc all my friends sent me the daft punk tweet and I am interested in what they have to say,” another user tweeted.
For those unversed, the duo announced their split after 28 years with a video on the official YouTube channel. The video titled “Epilogue“, shot on barren land in the backdrop of a sunset, feels like a well-poised farewell they deserve. The reason behind their breakup was, however, not known.
Founded by the former indie-rock bandmates Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter in Paris in 1993, the EDM duo went onto win six Grammy Awards (including album of the year for “Random Access Memories” in 2014).
