Daniel Craig of James Bond franchise fame is married to another megastar Rachel Weisz. Despite all that he has added to his pocket with the James Bond franchise, not to mention movies like Knives Out, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, he recently made a statement that comes as very surprising to his fans. In an interview with Candis magazine, Craig revealed he thinks the idea of leaving an inheritance is “distasteful.”

The actor said, “Isn’t there an old adage that if you die a rich person, you’ve failed?

“I think Andrew Carnegie [an American industrialist] gave away what in today’s money would be about 11 billion dollars, which shows how rich he was because I’ll bet he kept some of it, too!”

“But I don’t want to leave great sums to the next generation. I think inheritance is quite distasteful. My philosophy is get rid of it or give it away before you go.”
