The world premiere of the new James Bond film “No Time to Die” was a royal affair with some royal guests. Daniel Craig, Lea Seydoux, and the cast of the movie walked the red carpet on Tuesday in London for the event where Prince Charles, Prince William, and their spouses were in attendance.

The film is the 25th in the long-running series and Craig’s last outing as 007. It was initially due to be released in April 2020 but has suffered multiple delays because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Craig turned up for the red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall in a pink velvet dinner jacket, said he was relieved.

“A year ago, this was just a dream. It did not look like we would get here. But we have and I am just happy that we are here and we can celebrate with everybody,” he was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.

Seydoux echoed Craig’s sense of relief, saying: “It has been such a crazy time for all of us. And now to celebrate, you know, with this film, to reunite. And it is great. I am really happy.”

Craig, who is 53 years of age, has played the suave secret agent in five of the movies of the hit franchise, beginning with “Casino Royale” in 2006.

And he was bound to be asked about his feeling while saying goodbye to the role, he said:

“I am good. I am really good about it,” Craig said.

He sidestepped the question about his successor in the franchise, saying: “Not my problem.”

Health care workers and members of Britain’s armed forces were among those invited to Tuesday’s premiere in thanks for their work during the pandemic.

The film will be released in cinemas in the United Kingdom on September 30.
